FROM THE LOGAN CITY COUNCIL: Residents bordering the Logan and Albert rivers have been warned to prepare for flood as storm waters rise.
Logan Mayor Pam Parker said Council had door-knocked 88 properties in the suburbs of Beenleigh, Eagleby and Mount Warren Park in preparation for the Albert River peaking at 3pm this afternoon. The river was projected to peak at 5.8m.
South Maclean is expected to peak at 9pm tonight and Waterford at 6am Tuesday.
Maclean's Bridge is expected to peak at 17m while Waterford is tipped to reach 9m.
UPDATE: An evacuation centre at Sleeman Sports Complex in Chandler will be open from 6pm
