FACEBOOK LEGACY: WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU DIE
Ever wondered what happens to your Facebook page after you die?
Previously, Facey would create a 'memorial' page if informed that someone had passed away, but no one would manage it.
The social media giant's now announced a 'legacy system', where you can nominated a person to take control of the profile, and even post messages after a death.
"Facebook is a place to share and connect with friends and family. For many of us, it's also a place to remember and honour those we've lost," said a Facebook blog post announcing the update.
You have to opt in to the idea, with the person managing the account to have access to pictures and public posts. They'd be able to change the cover picture and respond to friend requests from family and friends who weren't connected to that person before their death.
At this stage, the feature will start in the US, before being rolled out to other countries.
They wouldn't have access to private messages though, with the idea that people can take some things to the grave.
